President – Larry Zogby
RDS Same Day Delivery Larry Zogby has always known how to make his dreams a reality. Early in his career, Mr. Zogby developed a passion for business as he managed a popular five-star restaurant in historic Bay Ridge. Combining his hands-on experience with a valuable academic foundation. Mr. Zogby earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and Management from the College of Staten Island. After graduating in 1986, Larry inherited RDS Same Day Delivery Service from his father Mitchell Zogby, Jr., who bought the business in 1973. For over 30 years, Mr. Zogby has taken his family business under his wing to make RDS Delivery a recognized and premier courier service company. As a native New Yorker, Mr. Zogby relied on his roots to develop the most comprehensive and professional delivery network in the New York metropolitan and tri-state area. |
Vice President – Arelis Bonilla
Aria Logistics Recognized for two decades of expertise in her field, Ms. Bonilla is recognized for her leadership as president and chief executive officer of Aria Logistics LLC, a logistics company providing transportation management services nationwide. As the founder and public face of the company, Ms. Bonilla oversees its daily operations, including marketing, sales and legal compliance, to ensure that its customers are able to transport their goods quickly and efficiently. Born in the Dominican Republic, Ms. Bonilla immigrated to the United States when she was a child and attended Fashion Industries High School before obtaining her Bachelor of Science in accounting from Berkeley College in 2009. She had long been inspired by her father, who worked as a truck driver; growing up, she would ride on his trucks, absorbing much wisdom about the industry. In 2008, Ms. Bonilla began her work in business logistics and transportation by importing and distributing to disabled veterans in New York City. Adjacent to her work with Aria Logistics LLC, Ms. Bonilla is the founder and chief executive officer of My Home Delivery App. Formerly, she was co-owner and chief executive officer of G.O.D. Group Inc., DBA Victor De Souza, from 2002 to 2006. |
Secretary/Treasurer – Mitchell Newman
Mitchell’s New York Logistics Born in New York City, Mitchell Newman began working in his family’s business in 1961 at the age of eight years old. The business grew from a small Manhattan candy store on First Avenue to where it is today, the largest, independently owned, newspaper/magazine home delivery service in the country. Everyday six hundred contractors distribute over 150,000 publications to the front door of residents in New York City and Westchester County. In 2002, Mitchell’s NY Logistics expanded with the purchase of DataMovers Messenger and Courier Service. Focusing on the metro New York region, eighty messengers and forty drivers move an envelope to a truckload from Connecticut to Philadelphia. In 2008, the company began providing warehousing services for clients. Mr. Newman has been a member of the New York State Messenger and Courier Association (NYSMCA) since 2004 and became a Board member in 2010. |
Board Member – Joshe Ordonez
Joshe Ordonez is an entrepreneur and creative strategist from Ecuador and is currently based in Brooklyn. She is the CEO of Airpals, a B2B platform that streamlines office logistics and project-based shipping. Ordonez founded Airpals after years of struggling with internal logistics at companies and projects she worked on within the fashion industry and other operational-heavy fields. Prior to founding Airpals, Joshe founded Loop Fairtrade, a digital platform that connects Ecuadorian artisans with global designers to collaborate on the creation of ethical products. One of the products developed through this platform received an endorsement from JBalvin. This innovative tool has empowered low-income artisans to gain an additional source of income while preserving ancestral techniques. In 2017, Joshe had the honor of being a panel speaker at the United Nations, where she discussed sustainable and social development. She has also delivered engaging talks and presentations at prestigious venues such as Google, Pratt Institute, and The New York Public Library. In 2022, Joshe Ordonez was selected as one of the 50 awardees for the inaugural cohort of the Google Latino Founders Fund. |
Board Member – Michael Turek
Tforce Final Mile, LLC Michael Turek’s background with the company has spanned more than 20 years and has included both sales and operations roles, perfectly setting him up for his current role. He graduated with a BS in Business Management from The College of New Jersey School of Business. Mike has held key management roles in operations and finance with Edison Parking Corporation, New York Document Exchange and NYDEX. Mike enjoys golfing, college sports and spending vacations on the beach with his family. |
Board Member – Robert Wyatt
Lightspeed Express Robert Wyatt has over 40 years experience in the delivery service industry. He began his career as a New York City bike messenger. Founding LightSpeed in 1984, he ran the company until a 1990 merger with Orbit. Mr. Wyatt served as President of Orbit/LightSpeed, at the time, one of the largest messenger companies in the United States. In November of 1995 Orbit/LightSpeed was one of the original founding companies of CD&L with Wyatt as the V.P. of New York City operations. In that position he merged five companies into a single operating entity. He was subsequently appointed President of the Northeast region, CD&L’s largest operating division. Mr. Wyatt left CD&L in 2000 to co-found deliverEnow.com. Veredex Logistics acquired deliverEnow.com in 2001. Mr. Wyatt served as COO of Veredex through 2001. He was a co-founder of LightSpeed in February 2002. |
Immediate Past President – John V. Rutigliano
Need It Now/SDS Global Logistics John V. Rutigliano is the Vice President of Operations and Information Technology for A-1 International, Inc. Mr. Rutigliano started with the company in 1983 running a local New York City messenger office. Since that time the company has grown from a small office in New York and New Jersey to brick and mortar locations in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Michigan in addition to operations in six other markets. A-1 International, Inc. offers local same day messenger and trucking services, warehouse, logistic and fulfillment services and scheduled and distribution services. In addition to those services, Mr. Rutigliano is responsible for the operations of A-1 Office Services Management, which is a management outsourcing company that was established in 1987. In 2005, Mr. Rutigliano was given the additional responsibility of overseeing the Information technology for the company. Mr. Rutigliano is now in his second term on the New York State Messenger and Courier (NYSMCA) Board of Directors. He is a graduate of New York University’s Stern Business School and received his Master’s in 1995 from Wagner College, which was the inaugural year of their Executive MBA program. Mr. Rutigliano lives in New Jersey with his wife Nicole and their three children. |
